Strong eyeliner and a dark red lip.
I haven't really got anything planned for today but i still decided to make an effort with my makeup.
Using my finger, I applied Benefit's Porefessional onto my face. Although it is designed to be used on your porous areas, I find it to be a great all around primer, the foundation just sweeps onto your face.
I then used Collection's (collection 2000) lasting perfection foundation all over my face using the Real Techniques foundation brush. Although it is quite high coverage, it doesn't at all feel heavy on your face! Although it's only £5.99, I can compare it to many high end foundations. It works perfectly with the brush. The real techniques brush doesn't leave any product un-blended.
To set my foundation I used a powder from MUA which was only £1!!! It gives a little more coverage and gives my face a matte finish. I applied it with a big fluffy brush from a ted baker makeup brush set received as a gift.
For contouring, I used Benefit's hoola bronzer. I applied it just under my cheekbones blended up into my temples, down the sides of my nose and sweeped a little bit across my forehead. Today, i used the little brush that came with the bronzer purely out of curiosity and to my surprise, it worked wonders!
I used Benefit's sugar bomb blush today with another one of my ted baker brushes. I applied it to the apples of my cheeks and slightly blended it up my cheekbone.
To fill in my brows I used another one of Benefit's products from their Smokin' Eyes pallete. Using the real techniques brow brush, i applies brow zings to my eyebrows and gave them a bit more shape.
For eyeshadows i used the eyeshadow from the bronze of champions palette on my lid and then used the darkest brown eyeshadow from the passport to posh pallette in my outer corner and crease. They were both applied with the base shadow brush from real techniques. Both palettes are from Benefit Cosmetics.
To line my eyes i used Miss Sporty's studio lash eyeliner creating a long flick at the end.
For mascara I used collections big fake ultimate mascara. It's the best mascara ever and it makes my lashes huge!!!
On my lips i used Rimmels Kate moss lipstick in 107 and that is it!

Tartan chic
Polyvore look: Tartan skirt.
This is actually an outfit I will be wearing in the near future to a party!
I paired the patterned skirt with a plain top so it's not too much. The skirt sits on your waist and is really flattering for tall or short girls! I love this skirt because its sexy yet elegant and classy. It looks fun but classy at the same time! The good thing about it is that you can wear it with a white or black blouse for a more formal look. Although tartan isn't always on the cover of vogue or cosmo, it never really goes out and is a very versatile pattern. It varies from scarfs, t shirts, skirts and I've even seen tartan socks! The skirt reminded me of something from St. Trinians and I loved it as soon as I saw it! Also, at £14.99 you cant go wrong!

The top is just a plain white vest crop with a slight turtle neck! An extremely versatile item. Even if you don't like this outfit just buy the top! It literally goes with anything. Jeans, shorts, skirts, leggings, joggers, yoga pants, nike pros...i could go on forever! You could dress it up with a nice skirt, or dress it down with some slim fit joggers or yoga pants! Like the skirt, it can look fun and cute, but at the same time it can look classy. The high neck gives it an edge to a normal white crop. Turtle necks are something you either love or hate, personally i love them but if you don't, the outfit works with a normal white crop too!

The shoes in the picture aren't the exact ones I will be wearing but they are basically the same. They are just plain black heels from primark. They were like £12 which are great because I have owned them for quite a while and they still look brand new! There seems to be a running theme with versatile items in this blog because these heels are also very multi use! Wear them with a pencil skirt to work or a cocktail dress to a party! They give shorter girls height and give taller girls a chance to show of their long legs!

Again, the lipstick in the picture isn't the one in the picture but it's the same dark red color! It's one of my favourite lipsticks and was introduced to me through Zoella's youtube videos. Its like a plum(my) red and in my opinion makes you look more grown up. Again, this could be a color to wear to work or even one for a party. This color goes with some of the tartan on the skirt and adds to the sexy/elegant look but a normal red lipstick would also work.

Last but not least, the gold chain necklace. Unfortunately I couldn't find the exact one on polyvore, i do have the link to the one i will be wearing! It seems every item in this outfit is versatile! This chain gives the outfit and edge and makes it more young! It goes so well with the lipstick and together are a great pair of extras for the outfit!
